Who was your starter?

 

Sticking to the same theme I've been doing this past weekend (Which is Pokemon Red & Blue). What starter Pokemon did you first choose when you first played these games?

Now if I recall correctly the absolute first time I played Blue, I picked Charmander but I just couldnt get past the 1st gym so I restarted my game and chose Squirtle. :)

How about you guys? What starter Pokemon did you pick in the original games?

    I started with Bulbasaur. Took me a few days to get past Brock, but at the time I didn't want to restart. Al my friend cheated and restart with squirtle after I told them what happened. I think I was the only one of us that never restarted.

    The first time I played I remember getting a Squirtle, but these days I pick Bulbasaur. Venusaur is my favorite first-gen Grass-type, and there are so many Water-types out there, plus Arcanine is a better choice than Charizard.

    Just catch a mankey and level it to level 9 to get Low kick and beat brock easy mode.

    Bulbasaur. I always start out with grass types on my first run through a Pokemon game.

    I had issues with Charmander, but never restarted. I kept to basics, Red Version: Charmander, Blue: Squirtle, Yellow: Pikachu, Second time through: Bulbasaur eventually.

    The first time I played? Totodile. Yep, Gold was my first game. lvl 100 Freligatr who could OHKO everything in the E4 is still extremely bro, even though he exists no more D':

    When I first played Pokemon the only thing I knew was that Charmander would become Charizard, and, you know, dragons are always awesome... hehe
